Happenings at A Place in Time on March 20, 2013

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Tomorrow is the first day of spring and even better it's my wedding anniversary. Now you can't get any better than that. For those of you that are lucky enough to find that someone special to walk through life with, you like me are very blessed.

Fran dropped off the sample cards for the class scheduled for Saturday, March 30 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. This will be a Ningyogami class.or Japanese paper dolls. Knowing how to make the dolls will allow you to add one more element to your creative card making skills. The paper Fran uses is from the Graphic 45 line and combines it with solid color card stock and several of the new stencils we have recently designed. As of this writing, the class is 1/2 full. Cost is $23.00. It would be a fun and relaxing way to spend a Saturday.

Items you will need to bring to the class:

Scissors, paper trimmer, tacky glue (you can use runner-type adhesive tape for some, but not all), mini glue dots (if you have), corner rounder, TH Distress Ink Walnut Stain (if you have), Scor-pal or other scoring tool, Japanese hole punch (if you have), Glossy Accents (optional or you could add Stickles), and ink pads in colors that look like bamboo green, lighter shade of brown and plum purple (if you have). Also bring 5 daubers or sponge to apply your ink.  the stencils used are Bamboo Background, Sakura Wheel, Bamboo 1, and Asian Fan.

Don't miss this class, you will walk away with four ready made cards that would be perfect for any occasion.

The last thing that we have for you are some new samples of our telescopic boxes. Those of you that came to our old store, will recognize the boxes. Here we used the Graphic 45 paper and it's looks fantastic. The beauty of the box is it's telescopic feature - it's impossible to lose the lid. These boxes make perfect party favors or as gift containers for that perfect someone in your life. We have the templates available and if you need a lot of boxes we can use the laser to cut them for you.

4 inch tall x 2 3/4 inch wide - people have asked me how much
this box will hold - it easily held my cell phone

2 3/4 inch cube

That's all for now.... See you tomorrow...
