Happenings at A Place in Time on March 9th, 2012

Good Evening Everyone,

What a wild ride it's been during the current weather system. I haven't seen rain like this since the 40 days of rain back in 2007. We were in the dark at home this morning due to a transformer blowing "it's top". I was lucky to have left for the store at 6:30am. I typically park under that transformer. Priscilla said that several cars parked on the street were damaged, trees were blown down, and one individual had their jealousy windows break. When Art came in to the store he told me about the golf ball sized hail that was bouncing off his roof. Tropical Hawaii???

This will probably be my shortest blog ever. I wanted to send out a photo of what you will be making at our 2nd Sunday Make and Take It this weekend. Priscilla has used our Telescopic Box template to create a fun project. If you haven't made one of these boxes you will find that they make a great party favor or seasonal ornament. St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day - decorate them to fit the occasion. As always the Make and Take It is free and will start at 2:00pm. No tools or materials are required for the project. All you need to bring is a smile and a desire to have a good time.

I was expecting the new shipment of Memory Box dies today  Alas,that didn't happen. If it arrives tomorrow I will be sure to have it available for those that attend the Make and Take It.

Priscilla will be attending the Scrapper's Jam tomorrow at the Airport Ohana Hotel. If you are going to the event, be sure and stop by and say hi. Priscilla will be demonstrating the air brush system that uses the Copic pens. The results are fantastic. Art has created several samples for you to look at in the store and you can always ask for a demo. It's really fun and people are surprised by how easy it is to use.
