Good Evening Everyone,
The month of March is all but over. Considering that we survived a tornado, hail, and exploding transformers, I would say that it was a very good. month. When you run a retail store there isn't much time to just sit back and reflect on what happened. You are always moving forward and that brings us to April.
First up, as I promised, The Memory Box Dies just arrived this afternoon. Tonight I will tag them and see that they are on the shelves for you tomorrow (Saturday). Priscilla brought in nine new designs to complement some of your favorites from previous orders. Yes, the butterflies are a part of that order. The dies that I like are the Decorative Frames and a Border that is truly architectural. The liquid pearls would be a perfect compliment to the dies.
Priscilla also brought some new ribbon into the store. Seventeen different rolls to be exact. I think you will love the colors - they are perfect for the Easter and Spring seasons. One young lady came in and bought some ribbon to use in her hair. I haven't seen that in a long time and it really looks nice.
Events:
Saturday, April 7th - ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT - This is a fun time for the adults to come into the store and hunt for Easter eggs. Now these aren't your ordinary hard boiled eggs. Our eggs will have prizes and surprises inside them. Only one egg per adult and the game lasts as long as the eggs remain hidden. It will be a lot of fun for everyone. I will hide the eggs and I promise you will have to search for them.
Saturday, Apr 14th - (2:00 - 5:00pm) Make and Take It by Priscilla. Typically, the 2nd Sunday of the month is scheduled for this event. However, Easter falls on the 2nd Sunday this year so we are moving it to Saturday. The Make and Take It is "FREE" and I'll post a photo as soon as one is available.
Sunday, Apr 8th - Easter Sunday - The store will be closed.
Wednesday, Apr 11th - Fran's first class in April. The class is a third full and I don't know what Fran is planning. Ha! Fran's reputation as an instructor is that good. Give me a call if you would like to sign up. The class is from 6:30pm - 8:30pm and the cost will be $20.00. I will post the photo as soon as possible.
Sunday, Apr 15th - "Whispering Bamboo" by Priscilla. The class (1:00 - 3:00pm) is for intermediate crafters. The cost is $30.00 and it will include a free stencil. This is the class that everyone has been anticipating. The prototype is in the store - an anniversary card Priscilla gave me last year - but there may be a few minor "tweeks" to it. Priscilla had it on display at the recent Scrapper's Jam and apparently it was the "hit of the show". The supplies you will need to bring will be a paper trimmer, double sided tape, pencil, 2 3/4" and 3" circle dies from "Nestabilities" or Sizziz "Framabilities", black glossy embossing paste, a small spatula, and removable tape. Call me for further details.
Wednesday, Apr 25th - "A Year in Cards" by Fran. The class is from 6:30 - 8:30pm and the cost is $20.00. Fran is working on the samples and I will Blog them as soon as possible.
That's all for now...... I'll see you tomorrow
