The first thing I want to do is remind everyone that Priscilla has a "Make and Take It" this Saturday, April 14th (2:00 - 5:00pm). The rumor has it that she will be doing a pop-up butterfly Mother's Day card. For those of you that haven't attended a "Make and Take It" in our store, it's free and you don't need to bring anything with you except a smile and the yearning for a fun time. I hope to see you all there.
Priscilla's "Whispering Bamboo" class on Sunday, April 15th (1:00 - 3:00pm) has two seats that are available. This class is for crafters that have experience in using embossing paste. It's difficult to show the true ingenuity and beauty that defines this card. Each embossing will layer on top of the previous one. You see the various layers through "windows". It gives the card depth and a hint of what is to follow as you unfold the pages. I offer the following photos, but the sample card in the store should be seen to be truly appreciated.

Fran's class last night, "Japanese Paper Dolls", was a lot of fun for all involved. After the class she told everyone that her next class on Wednesday, April 25th (6:30 - 8:30pm) would have a theme of "Floral and Masculine". That's an interesting combination and I'm looking forward to the samples. I believe there are two seats that are still available. That cost remains at $20.00. As I learn more details I'll enter them in a coming Blog.

Something new has been happening at A Place in Time lately. We are receiving calls from ladies that want to schedule a class for their group, club, etc. I mention this because there may be more of you that would like to make use our tables and have a fun night out. Give us a call and we will help you with your activity.
Priscilla is putting the finishing touches on her "Forever Card" and it should be available for you to see in the store. If you haven't seen the samples from previous classes, your in for a surprise. The wonder of how it works will amaze you. I'll let you know the date and time - don't be late to sign up for this class.
I have to mention that Art, in our manufacturing department, has been extremely busy. There isn't a project that is too small or too big for him. Art just finished engraving 384 sun-glass lens, 75 name tags for the Four Seasons Hualalai, a koa business card holder, champagne glasses for a wedding, and a restocking of our shelves with stencils and stamps. Next up will be 100 name tags for Teddy's Bigger Burger, acrylic awards for the Audubon Society, and approximately 300 stencils for a local supplier. From day to day we never know what request will come through the door. We aren't the kind of store that does engraving as a 24 hour service. We enjoy our reputation for quality. If you have something we can help you with, please give me a call.
We are currently working on a new stencil of the "Mokes". I think you will like it. With Mother's Day just around the corner, you may want to look at our stencils with that theme. I'm always available to show you how easy they are to use or just "brainstorm" ideas for a card.
New product in the store? Yep! Priscilla tells me that a significant order of new paper will be arriving in the store next week. Priscilla is so good at choosing paper to stock our shelves. I can't wait to see it all. Next week should also bring the arrival or the Copic air brush system into the store. Several of you already have been "playing" with them. If you have been thinking of acquiring this easy to use tool, please give me a call.
That's all for now. My brain is tired and I need to be fed. Ha! I'll see you tomorrow....
I almost forgot... apparently, Priscilla and "A Place in Time" will be on television again. A new show is to be aired on OC16 in the near future:. It will be called the "2 Busy Moms" Show. We received a call last week from Delia and Bella (the 2 moms). They wanted to feature "A Place in Time" on their new show. How cool is that? So, last Saturday, the cameras, lighting, audio, and a variety of equipment arrived at the store and Priscilla proceeded to show Delia how to make one of our "Telescopic Boxes". Delia's son, Sonny, was recruited to do the air brushing on the flower. He did a great job. Thanks to Kandice and Davey of "The Place to be Productions" everything went extremely well. I asked Davey, as they were putting the equipment back in the cases, -"So, how did Priscilla do"? Davey said "she's a natural". But then we all know that. Ha! I'll let you know the day and time.
