JANUARY BEGININGS

"MAKE IT MINE" by Fran Kawakami
"NEW YEAR LANTERN by Jan Kruger
Happy New Year Everyone,

It's January and we've "hit the ground running". Christmas is a special time of the year and it's always a bit sad when I take down the decorations. Inventory was a chore again this year, but it was made a lot easier because of the efforts of a few volunteers. Priscilla and I thank them and all of you that make our little craft store a crafter's destination.

January Classes:
Thursday, January 13th 6:30-8:30pm "Make It Mine" by Fran. Cost: $15.00 You will enjoy this class in preparing for Valentines Day. The class involves making six 3x3 mini cards. Bring the following to the class: Scissors, adhesive (glue or tape), and a journaling pen (red or black).
Saturday, January 15th 1:00-4:00pm "New Year lantern" by Jan. Cost: $25.00 This is a clever project that requires a lot of folding, so make it easy by bringing your Scor-Pal. You will stamp and color to your hearts desire to create a very beautiful Chinese Lantern to hang all year. Supplies to bring: Basic Tool Lit, Scor-Pal, Gold and Plum ink pads.
Thursday, January 27th 6:30-8:30pm "A Year In Cards" by Fran. As soon as I get the sample and further details I'll post this information.
Saturday, January 29th 1:00-3:00pm "A Friend Is A Gift" Box w/Accordian Journal by Jan Kruger. I will post a photo as soon as I receive the class sample. You will create a box and make an accordian journal with Jan's heart warming passages. Supplies to bring: Basic Tool kit, Scor-Pal, and Adhesive.
New to the Store: A flat bed truck arrived yesterday with a supplies from Sizzix. We have re-stocked the shelves with the Eclips and Big Shots. Among the new items are a Albums, Bags, & Boxes cartridge for the Eclips, Tm Holttz's Pine Tree diecut, Flowers, Stars, and Swirls embossing folders from Sizzix, and Cutting Mat Adhesive for the Eclips. The new Pen Kit accessory for the Eclips is now available also.It is compatible with many types of the pens you already own. INCLUDING GLUES PENS. I am anxious to try it. Oh.. I almost forgot. We also have a limited supply of the Eclips Tote Bag. You will love the styling. Hot Off The Press delivered a box yesterday that includes more of the popular "peel and stick images" and several different styles of embossed papers. We have several new punches in the store also. Among them are Martha Stewart's "All Over The Page Punch". The engineering on these punches is truly amazing. It's available in a Rose Window, Butterfly Flourish Square, Star, Floral Tile, and Studded Heart. Priscilla is getting ready for the delivery of new papers for Valentines Day. We've created the display space...now all we need is the supplies to fill it. I'm sure I've forgotten some of the new things in the store, but that will just add to the surprise when you come see us.
Until then....as Priscilla would say "May the crafting spirit be with you". Me? "I'll see you tomorrow".
