Classes :

HOLIDAY COOKIE AND RECIPE EXCHANGE by Debbie West
Sat. Dec. 4th 6:30-8:30pm.
Cost: $20.00

We did a recipe event last year and it was a huge success. Participants this year will decorate
a recipe book in the shape of a "Gingerbread House". At this writing, you are asked to bring six (6x6 decorated) copies of your favorite cookie recipe to exchange with others in the class. This will make up the "body" of the recipe book. Also, you are asked to bring 6 - one dozen cookies to exchange. Beverages and paper products will be provided. I will offer my tasting services if needed. Tools required: Basic Tool Kit and an appetite for cookies and a fun time. I'll post a photo of the Gingerbread House as soon as possible.

BAMBOO GREETINGS by Priscilla Teska
This is a dynamic 2 part project

Part 1: Friday Dec. 10th 6:30-8:30 pm
Part 2: Saturday Dec. 11th 2:00-4:00 pm
Cost: $45.00

Priscilla has created a very elegant gift box that has an Asian flavor. This will make the perfect gift for that special someone - unless you decide to keep it for yourself.
Part 1 - Students will work with the Ten Seconds Studio metal products to make an original
bamboo embossed motif that was created by Priscilla for the cover of the box. You will also be
painting the box cover.
Part 2 - You will be creating compartments for the interior of the box. Into these compartments you will make 6 - 3x3 gift tag cards and 5 - A2 sized cards.
This is really one of the best designs that I've seen. You will have to come by the store to see the class sample for yourself. The photo below really doesn't do it justice. Supplies to bring: Basic Tool Kit, 1/2"-1" paint brush or a sponge brush, double side tape, liquid adhesive, brown ink pad, moss green and light pink brush pens.

2nd SUNDAY MAKE and TAKE December 12th 2:00-5:00 pm Cost: Free

Priscilla is in the decision making process and I'll update the blog once I know what you will "make and take". I'm sure it will be a fun Christmas oriented design. "Fa La La La La"

The make and take this last Sunday was attended by young and old. Each made a "telescopic box" and embellished it using our new Sizzix Eclips machine. Some of our customers are telling us they are going to use the telescopic boxes as Christmas ornaments.

NEW IN THE STORE

New items seem to be coming in on a daily basis. Priscilla has me checking in, pricing, and stocking, sometimes I get lunch. Just yesterday we received a shipment from Bazzil to add to our already extensive line of paper. Also, back in the store are the 22x17 self healing cutting mats.
New to our store from C-Thru are their line of ATC trading cards, colorful beads, and the artist trading card kits. The themes are Angels and Fairies & Travel and Memories. I thought the ultra fine glitter that feel like felt was "hot", but this product line is offering a lot of excitement. Stay tuned for samples.

Tim Holtz diecuts have arrived along with the Sizzix Christmas themed diecuts. "Reindeer Flight", "Rickity House", "Branch Tree", "Tattered Flowers" are a few of the Tim Holtz line we received. You will also enjoy his embossing patterns of "musical notes", "brick and wood grain sets", and the "damask & regal flourishes" set.

Priscilla is excited about our new tool - the Eclips by Sizzix. Actually, she's happy as a clam because it cut her time down to minutes in preparing for the 2nd Sunday Make and Take. It's a very user friendly tool and it comes with a remote. To me that also qualifies it as a "man tool". Because we are currently sold out,we are extending our current offer of giving everyone a $50.00 Gift Certificate to those that pre-order the machine. This would make a fantastic Christmas gift. And with the gift certificate you won't find a better "deal". We waited a long time to bring you the "right" electronic tool. Call me for further information.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for so many things this year, one of those things is you, our friends and customers. We've been in business for 5 years now and we thank you for all of your support in keeping the crafting spirit alive.

More information and photos to come - make sure you stay tuned.

See you tomorrow.

Love the cookie/recipe exchange idea. Unfortunately, my company Christmas party is the same evening! :(
