End of March Happenings

Good Day Crafters,

Well, it's been a while since I last posted an update to the blog. I am going to try and do a better job of this in the future. I will post information twice a week, thereby you have to wade through a volume of "World and Peace" each time you visit the site. This one will be longer so I can bring you up to date on the store happenings.

First of all, in February, A Place in Time achieved it's own moment in time: we celebrated our 5th anniversary. This is not so much a testimony to us, but to all of you that have found us worthy of your business. Many of the people who visit our Kailua store come from other parts of the island. We are honored to be "worth the drive" and our goal will continue to make your trip to our store, whether near or far, well worth your time.

The subject this month is Birthdays and those taking the class will make 5 cute cards
using a new line of paper we have in the store from Best Creations. You'll enjoy making these cards and have fun at the same time. The tools you will need to bring are your basic tool kit, two sided adhesive, glue, scoring tool, and a Scor-pal if you have one.

Want to learn several techniques using your stencils or just get a refresher class on several of the applications? You'll want to take this class. There's one card you'll make that I'm not sure how she did it. Guess that's why she's the President. The tools you'll need to bring is your basic tool kit.

Asian Flat Panel Book by Pam Kruger

This is a beautiful folding book using the Dove of the East paper line. Because there are multiple photos I will be posting them on the blog tomorrow. I encourage you take the time to see what Jan has created. It's something special. The tools you will need are your basic tool kit, two sided adhesive, and a Scor-pal.

New To the Store:

The most recent shipment we received is from Basic Grey. There are two lines (2): "Life of the Party" and "Hello Luscious". They are two sided papers and cover the range in colors, hues, and tones that are perfect for Spring and Easter.
Also you will be able to choose from a variety of embellishments that compliment the paper. In addition there are 6x6 paper pads to choose from. Some of you have been asking for the Basic Grey Card Kits and Scrapbook Page Kits. They have arrived. You will really enjoy this offering from Basic Grey.

Art Hiu, our creative force in manufacturing, has designed a new stencil - "The Hibiscus Border.
The first order took all of 2 days to sell out. For those of you that haven't seen it I'll post it tomorrow on the blog or take the time to come in and see it. Priscilla has used it as a vehicle to experiment mixing embossing pastes. You'll like the blend of orange, red, yellow, and white.

From Sizzix we have new embossing folders and diecuts. We are expecting the new shipment of Eclips machines and cartridges this week. Priscilla is continuing the sale on the Eclips machine. So if your thinking of a quality diecut machine in your future, please come in for a demonstration.

I look forward to visiting with you tomorrow. Please look at the photos for Jan's class. The design is beautiful.

See you tomorrow...
