March Happenings on the 24th

Good morning crafters,

For those of you that haven't seen these, I call them Tubes of Joy. Priscilla first introduced them at the Scrapper's Jam and they were an instant success. We are on our second box of them at the store and the reason they are popular: They are inexpensive and They take very little of your time to decorate. Money and time - aren't they always the two of the bigger issues we deal with? Fill them with M&Ms, Skittles, nuts, whatever you creativity conjures up - add some peal and sticks, ribbon, stickers, tags and your done. Easter, Mother's Day, party favors for an upcoming event - people will enjoy them. These are available at a cost of only $1.56 each - less if you have our discount card. You'll receive a lot of smiles from those you give them to.

If you take the time to notice them, little happenings can become become very special. A couple of days ago a girl came in the store for her first time. She had grown up in Hawaii (Japanese ancestry) but when I asked where she was born, she said Winona, Minnesota. Now this blew me away. Why? My dad and the rest of Teska clan originate from Winona. It's a small town in the southeastern corner of Minnesota. We've had other families in the store that live in Minnesota - many of them didn't know where Winona was. So this was just a small connection to my family and some childhood memories. Megumi loved our store and will be back soon. She left me with a smile I carried with me the rest of the day.

See you tomorrow at A Place in Time

- let us know how we can help you. Do you have an idea for a class you'd like to take?
