Happenings at A Place in Time on October 4

Good Evening Friends,

I thought I was going to take a break from the blog, but yesterday the order from Sizzix arrived. We are restocked with Big Shots and the Eclips die cutting machine, but the big news is that the new Embossing Folders are now on the shelves. You are going to really enjoy these new tools and their ability to easily and quickly make your Holiday cards. The true test of any product line isn't how much I like it. It's how much the people who frequent our store like them. I made a couple of samples and put them out for people see and touch. 20% of the Embossing Folders are now sold and that was in just 2 hours. I guess you can say they have been well received. There are Snowflakes, Branches, Swirls, Ribbons, Dots, and Flowers.

Included in the delivery were the Ink-Its Letterpress Plates that allow you to ink the Embossing Folder with the color of your choice and then emboss it on the Big Shot. The Letter Press plates we received are Festive Swirls and Spirals. They would be a great border for your scrapbook page or the card your working on.

We also received something new from Sizzix - a packaged kit that includes a self adhering red rubber stamp and the corresponding design in an embossing folder. The great part about this product is that you can use the stamp and the embossing folder together or individually. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The last part of the order are "Framelits". This is a stamp and die-cut combination. Once again you can use them together or as individual pieces. There are Ferns, Dragonflies, Birds, Flowers, Deco Frames, and Branches to choose from.

Given the time, I'll be making more samples tomorrow. Come in and join me. We're open until 7pm.

The last thing that I have for you is - Did you know that next Monday is a holiday? It's Discoverer's Day. Priscilla has decided that she will be doing a free demo on stenciling techniques. The Demo is open to anyone and will last all day. It's going to be a busy weekend for Priscilla. There is the Scrapper's Jam on Saturday, the free Make and Take on Sunday, and the All Day Stenciling Demo on Monday. I told her she could take Tuesday off. Ha!

That's all for now... See you tomorrow.
