May Happenings on the 21st

Aloha on this fine Sunday,

In case you hadn't noticed it, the world didn't end yesterday. What did happen is that we had people in the store from Arizona and Colorado and Fran dropped off her samples for the class on Thursday May 26th. Fran's cards reflect a graduation or Father's Day/Male theme. I think they are creative to the max. Fran's reputation always precedes her getting me the samples because her class is almost sold out. People who have taken Fran's classes know they can expect fun mixed with imagination and a creative talent. There are two spots left in the class. If you would like to attend, please give me a call or stop by the store to sign up and see the samples in person. The cost is $20.00 and the class is from 6:30-8:30pm on the 26th.

New to the store:

We received two new Ecips die cuts from Sizzix yesterday. The first - "Wedding Shower and Big Day" has everything the bride could want for making her special and unique invitations. Those of you that have the Eclips machine know how much time and money it saves you when you make your own save the date, invitations, rsvp, and thank you cards - and that's not mention that you can make your own envelopes to coordinate with the invitations. I'm told by people who frequent the store that the average savings amounts to $500 - $600 dollars. That's way more than the cost of the Eclips itself. The second cartridge - Decorate Your Life Shapes & Alphabet - includes a variety of flowers, butterflies, birds, and creative shapes to embellish your scrapbook pages or cards with. The font that is included is "way cool" also.

We received one more design from Sizzix in the Ink-It Letterpress series. I was playing with these today and made a couple of samples for you review. Are there people out there, like me, that feel that stamping is just too hard to mess with? Well, this product line solves that problem. It's as easy as using an embossing folder. Come in and I'll give you a quick demo. If it involves the Big Shot you know it will be quick. Also in the store are a couple of Tim Holtz Die Cuts - "Twigs" and "Mini Labels Set".

I'm getting calls and yes, we will be open on Memorial day.

That's all for now... see you tomorrow..
